Attacker Lucas Moura joined us in January, 2018, from Paris Saint-Germain.

He wrote his name into Club folklore at the end of his first full season with us - 2018/19 - as he netted a sensational second-half hat-trick away to Ajax in the second leg of our Champions League semi-final to send us through to the final against Liverpool in Madrid, his third goal coming in the sixth minute of added time.

Such a consistent performer across the front line, Lucas featured in 45 of our 53 matches in all competitions in 2021/22, taking him to an impressive 191 appearances in our 221 matches across 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22, a sequence that also took him past the 200-game milestone for us in May, 2022. He also scored of the best goals of 2021/22 - a burst of pace, quick feet, turn and 25-yard rocket into the top corner against Norwich City in December.

Lucas initially came through the ranks at Brazilian side Sao Paulo, where he went on to score 22 goals in 86 appearances as well as winning the Copa Sudamericana in 2012.

He moved to PSG in January, 2013, and played 229 times for the Parisians, scoring 46 goals. While at the Parc des Princes, Lucas won four Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, four French League Cups and five French Super Cups.

After making his Spurs debut as a late substitute in our memorable 2-2 draw away to Juventus in the Champions League in February, 2018, he scored on his full debut in a 2-2 FA Cup fifth round draw at Rochdale five days later and made 11 appearances for us in all competitions up until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Lucas began the 2018/19 campaign in excellent form, scoring his first Premier League goal in our first home game of the season against Fulham at Wembley, helping us win 3-1, before netting twice in our 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, contributing to him being named the Premier League's EA SPORTS Player of the Month for August, 2018.

In October, 2018, he was recalled to the Brazil national team for the first time in over two years and, that December, scored a late equaliser away to Barcelona in our last group stage match of the Champions League to send us through to the last 16.

By the end of that season, he'd netted 15 goals - 10 in the Premier League and five in the Champions League - and had played in 32 of our 38 top-flight matches. He made 49 appearances for us in all competitions in 2018/19.

Lucas continued to be a stalwart of the side in 2019/20, appearing in 47 of our 52 matches in all competitions, with 35 appearances in the Premier League, including 25 starts and four goals. He scored just 19 seconds after entering the fray in our 2-2 draw at City in August, 2019, and netted again in Jose Mourinho's first game in charge, a 3-2 win at West Ham in November, 2019, and in three of his first five Premier League matches. He racked up 100 appearances for the Club in all competitions in June, 2020.

Lucas registered another 49 appearances in all competitions in 2020/21, weighing in with a valuable nine goals, including five in the Europa League. By the end of that season, he'd reached the 150-appearance milestone for us in all competitions, ending the campaign with 157.

Capped at Under-20 and Under-23 level for Brazil, Olympic silver medallist at the London Games in 2012, Lucas has 35 senior caps for the Selecao to his name and was part of the squad that won the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2013.
