Will Lankshear

Striker Will Lankshear joined our Academy from Sheffield United in August, 2022.

Previously at Arsenal, the right-footed centre-forward joined the Blades in January, 2021, and captained their Under-18 side as they claimed the Professional Development League national title in 2021/22 following an impressive unbeaten campaign.

A former pupil at Aldenham School who was born in Welwyn Garden City and raised in St Albans, Will marked his debut for our Under-18s with a brace, including a 97th-minute equaliser, to help us come back from 3-0 down at half-time to draw 3-3 with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Under-18 Premier League Cup in October, 2022.

He subsequently scored his first hat-trick for the Club in a 4-3 Under-18 Premier League defeat at West Ham United in December, 2022.

During the 2023/24 campaign, Will was top scorer for our title-winning Under-21 side, also earning recognition as the Premier League 2 Player of the Season.

He made his first team debut from the start in a Europa League match against Ferencvaros in October, 2024, and scored his first senior competitive goal against Galatasaray in the same competition the following month. His Premier League debut followed against Fulham in December, 2024.

In January, 2025, Will joined West Bromwich Albion on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
