Vicario shortlisted for Premier League monthly prize

Guglielmo Vicario is among the nominees for the first Premier League Coca Cola Save of the Month award this season.
The Italy international shot-stopper has been shortlisted for August’s prize for one of a number of key interventions he made in last week’s 1-0 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth.
The save in question came at the start of the second half, as he expertly tipped away Antoine Semenyo’s angled left-footed effort to prevent the visitors from doubling their advantage.
Also in the running are Mads Hermansen (for West Ham vs Sunderland), Jose Sa (for Wolves vs Bournemouth), Bernd Leno (for Fulham vs Manchester United), Matz Sels (for Nottingham Forest vs West Ham) and James Trafford (for Manchester City vs Brighton).
