Tottenham Hotspur
It was a night of firsts when we took on AS Monaco in the UEFA Europa League back in December, 2015.
Erik Lamela shone in the rain at the Lane with his first hat-trick for the Club in an impressive 4-1 win in the group stage with Academy graduate Tom Carroll also on target with his first goal.
Both teams took off the following season, 2016/17 - we enjoyed our best season in the Premier League, finishing second, unbeaten at home while Monaco took the Champions League by storm - a team including superstar in the making Kylian Mbappe, future Premier League title winners Fabinho (Liverpol) and Bernardo Silva (City) plus the likes of Radamel Falcao and Joao Moutinho reached the semi-finals, having beaten City and Borussia Dortmund, before losing out to Juventus.
Signing for us from AS Roma back in August, 2013, Erik went on to make 257 appearances in a Spurs shirt, scoring 37 goals along the way. Tom featured 56 times for us before moving to Swansea in 2017.
