Cathinka Tandberg has been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award for the first time.
A summer arrival from Hammarby IK, the forward has enjoyed an impressive first month in England’s top flight as she helped us to pick up nine points in four games with two goals and one assist.
Making her debut in our WSL season opener against West Ham United, the Norway international opened her account in outrageous style with a 40-yard stunner in a 2-0 win at Everton, a game where she also assisted Olga Ahtinen’s goal on Merseyside.
To cap off the month, the 21-year-old was back on the scoresheet away at Leicester City as she poked home our opening goal in the 2-1 win over the Foxes.
