Spence named your Player of the Match after battling display against Arsenal

Mon 17 November 2025, 16:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Drew Spence was named your HSBC Player of the Match after putting in an impressive display in midfield on Sunday to help us earn a hard-fought point in the north London derby.

In a poll run exclusively on the Spurs Official App, the experienced 33-year-old took the majority of your votes to take the crown for the first time this season.

Making her eighth appearance of the Barclays Women’s Super League campaign this term, our number 24 was a commanding presence in our midfield throughout the 90 minutes at Brisbane Road as she brought calmness in possession with 78% of accurate passes in the encounter with the Gunners.

But she also brought plenty of fight in her defensive contributions in the contest after winning 75% of her ground duels and 100% ground duels, providing a strong presence in front of our backline to help us preserve our fourth clean sheet of the WSL season – sixth in all competitions.

Following a fully committed performance in front of a packed crowd at Brisbane Road, the well-deserved point in our first north London derby of the campaign continues our positive start to the WSL season as we currently sit fifth in the table after nine games.
