Koga shortlisted for FIFA Women’s 11 award

Fri 07 November 2025, 12:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Toko Koga has been nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s 11 award for her 2024/25 campaign.

A total of 22 goalkeepers, 22 defenders, 22 midfielders and 22 attackers have been included on the shortlist, with fans able to vote for their best XI by selecting a goalkeeper and up to four defenders, four midfielders and three attackers.

With players nominated due to their performances from 11 August, 2024, to 2 August, 2025, the young defender, who joined us in the summer, has been recognised for her strong season at Feyenoord last term, making 24 appearances for the Dutch side as they recorded a fifth-place finish.

The 19-year-old also shone on the international stage earlier this year as she featured in all three SheBelieves Cup fixtures for Japan and scored the winning goal against USA to help her nation claim the trophy for the first time.

And the Japan international has continued her excellent form this season in Lilywhite, where she has made nine consecutive starts for us in all competitions, helping us to preserve five clean sheets in those.

Netting her first goal for the Club last weekend in the win against Liverpool, Toko also wrote history for us and in the WSL – becoming our youngest ever goalscorer in the competition while also being the youngest Asian player to score in England’s top flight.
