We are delighted to announce that Martha Thomas has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until June, 2028.
Having joined us from Manchester United in September, 2023, the forward made an instant impact in our colours with a goal on debut in the 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Super League season opener against Chelsea.
Scoring 10 goals in all competitions in her maiden campaign for us, she was at the heart of some memorable moments in the campaign, netting that historic goal against Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to clinch our first-ever WSL win over the Gunners.
Martha then helped us create history in the FA Cup during the 2023/24 season by heading home the winner in the semi-final tie with Leicester City in N17, with her goal deep in extra-time taking us to the final for the first time in May, 2024.
A regular in our attacking line, the Scotland international has made 53 appearances for us across all competitions to date, scoring 11 goals in total, with seven of those coming in the WSL.
Our number 17 also reached a personal milestone in the WSL last season as she reached a century of appearances in England’s top flight in the clash with West Ham United in March, who she also spent two seasons with at the beginning of her career in the WSL.
On the international stage, the 28-year-old enjoyed an impressive UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying tournament with Scotland, scoring seven goals in their eight qualifiers to help her country finish top of their group.
