Charlotte Grant provided an assist while a clean sheet for her and Clare Hunt helped Australia to a 2-0 win over Argentina in an international friendly on Friday morning.
Clare and 'Charli' were both in from the start to earn their 33rd and 34th cap respectively and on 38 minutes, our number two was on hand to help break the deadlock in Melbourne with a lovely assist.
Advancing to the edge of the box on the right, Charli then delivered a pinpoint cross to the back post which was headed home by Kahli Johnson on her debut for the Matildas.
Kaitlyn Torpey doubled their advantage on 70 minutes before Charli was inches away from getting on the scoresheet herself just two minutes later when her cross struck the woodwork.
The full-back went on to complete the full match alongside Clare as they were part of the backline that kept a clean sheet for Tom Sermanni’s side at Marvel Stadium.
Next up for the Australia duo is once again another international friendly against Argentina, but this time held at GIO Stadium on Monday 2 June (10:30am UK).
