UEFA Champions League football secured for 2025/26

Wed 21 May 2025, 23:00|Tottenham Hotspur

We will play in the UEFA Champions League in the 2025/26 season.

Having enjoyed an unforgettable night as we defeated Manchester United 1-0 to lift the Europa League trophy in Bilbao, that win has secured us a return to the Champions League.

The win sees us back in the competition for the first time in two years after we reached the round of 16 in the 2022/23 campaign before exiting at the hands of AC Milan.

Our return to the Champions League means there will be six English sides competing in the tournament for the first time. In fact it will be the first time any country has had six clubs to compete in the competition in a single season.

Like the Europa League, the Champions League now has a 36 team league phase with each side playing eight different opponents in a bid to qualify for the knockout stages.

The draw for the League Phase will take place on 26 August, 2025, with the first games set to be played on 16 September, 2025.
