Pedro Porro your Player of the Match after semi-final success

Pedro Porro has been named your HSBC Player of the Match after helping send us through to the Europa League final in some style with a 2-0 second-leg victory at Bodø/Glimt.

In a poll run exclusively on the Spurs Official App, Pedro's full-back display in north Norway won the majority of your votes to see him claim the award for the first time this season.

After supplying a superb assist for James Maddison's goal in our 3-1 first-leg win last week, our number 23 went one better this time when his attempted cross looped over Bodø goalkeeper Nikita Khaikin and into the net off the far upright to make it 5-1 on aggregate and seal our place at Bilbao's San Mames on 21 May.

Earlier, Pedro had gone closest for us when he forced Khaikin into a smart save with a dipping and swirling 25-yard free-kick on 23 minutes before Dominic Solanke eased nerves amongst players and fans alike with a predatory close-range finish to give us the lead on the night just past the hour mark.

With Destiny Udogie bombing up and down the opposite side, both full-backs were heavily involved at the Aspmyra Stadion and that can be seen in the stats with the Spaniard having 63 touches - only bettered by our left-back (65) - and the most crosses (nine) and passes into the final third (12) to go with his goal.

In what was an outstanding professional performance from the whole team in tough conditions inside the Arctic Circle, attention turns to our first European final in six years and fourth in this competition as we take on Manchester United in Pedro's home nation of Spain.
