Huge win sets up quarter-final tie with Eintracht Frankfurt

Thu 13 March 2025, 22:00|Tottenham Hotspur

We are set to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals.

Having overcome AZ Alkmaar in the round of 16 on Thursday night - overturning last Thursday's 1-0 defeat with a 3-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to progress 3-2 on aggregate - we will now face the German Bundesliga side in the final eight.

Key Highlights | Spurs vs AZ Alkmaar

With this season's Europa League knockout stage following a bracket system, we knew ahead of the round of 16 fixtures that, if we progressed to the quarter-finals, we would face the victors of the last 16 tie between Eintracht and Eredivisie side Ajax.

Over two legs, the German outfit prevailed 6-2 on aggregate, winning the first leg in Amsterdam 2-1 before triumphing 4-1 on Thursday evening in Frankfurt.

We will host Eintracht first with the first leg set to be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday 10 April before travelling to Frankfurt on Thursday 17 April for the second leg.

Kick-off times for the two fixtures will be confirmed in due course.

We most recently faced Eintracht in 2022 as they were one of our opponents in our UEFA Champions League group in the 2022/23 campaign.

First meeting at the Deutsche Bank Arena in October, 2022, where we earned a 0-0 draw, we then ran out 3-2 winners when we hosted them at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of the month.
