The Opposition

Despite going unbeaten in their opening seven games in all competitions this season, Arsenal now find themselves at the wrong end of the Under-18 Premier League table.

First tasting defeat in mid-October against Aston Villa, Adam Birchall's side failed to win their next five games in all competitions, but ended 2024 by edging a seven-goal thriller against non-league Hertford Town 4-3 in the FA Youth Cup.

After progressing in the same competition against QPR on penalties in January, the Gunners were unbeaten in their next four, a run which saw them beat West Ham, Fulham and West Brom before scoring five against Southampton.

They come into this game off the back of consecutive defeats against Brighton and Manchester United, leaving them eighth in the table, just three points behind us having played two games less.
