The forward, who captained her nation in the previous outing against Panama at the weekend, played a low cross to Michelle Heyman as she tapped home from close range on 54 minutes, cancelling out Ericka Cristel Arauz Ortega’s opener in the first half.
Our number eight then linked up with Heyman once again just 11 minutes later to put her nation ahead in the contest. Hayley collected the ball on the right-hand side and delivered a pin-point cross for Heyman to head home her second of the game. Lineth Cedeno then grabbed an equaliser for Panama with seven minutes remaining of normal time.
Charli and Clare both completed the full match while Hayley was substituted in the final quarter of the game.
Hayley is now just one cap away from reaching a century of appearances for Australia, while that was 38th and 36th cap for Clare and Charli respectively.
