Tottenham HotspurWe are delighted to announce that Dimitar Berbatov will be part of our Spurs Legends squad to take on AC Milan Glorie at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 23 March (2pm).
One of the finest strikers of the modern era, 'Berba' scored 46 goals in 102 appearances in all competitions for us between 2006-2008. He is Legacy Number #715.
He joins Ledley King, Aaron Lennon, Teddy Sheringham, Michael Dawson, Sandro and Heurelho Gomes as players now confirmed for the charity match in aid of the Club’s Foundation.

Berba began his career at CSKA Sofia before moving to Bayer Leverkusen and then to N17 in the summer of 2006. He formed a lethal partnership with Robbie Keane in 2006/07 and 2007/08 - the pair scored 90 goals between them - and helped us land the League Cup in 2008. Fans will still remember his nerve-less penalty to level in the final against Chelsea before Jonathan Woodgate's winner in extra time.
Capped 78 times by Bulgaria, scoring 48 goals for his country, Berba moved to Manchester United in 2008 before spells at Fulham, Monaco, PAOK and Kerala Blasters in India. He official retired in 2019. He's now a regular in media circles around the Premier League and UEFA competitions and runs his Foundation back home in Sofia.
"Myself, English football and Tottenham Hotspur - I feel like we just clicked," Berba once told us. "Tottenham has a big history and a tradition of playing good, attacking football. As a player, I like to be an entertainer, so from that perspective I think that Spurs was a very good fit for me as a football club."
