As we count down the days to our first appearance in the UEFA Super Cup, you don't have to turn the clock back too far for our only encounter against our opponents in Italy, Paris St Germain.

We take on the Champions League winners in UEFA's annual curtain raiser at Udinese's Stadio Fruili on Wednesday evening (8pm UK).

That will mark our first competitive fixture against the Ligue 1 champions - our first meeting was just over eight years ago in Orlando, Florida as part of the International Champions Cup pre-season series in America.

It was an eventful night at the Camping World Stadium. Edinson Cavani scored early for PSG, Christian Eriksen's piledriver drew us level and Eric Dier charged down goalkeeper Kevin Trapp's clearance for 2-1, all inside 20 minutes.

Javier Pastore levelled for PSG - who included our former midfielder, Gio Lo Celso - before the break and then another turn as Trapp handled outside his box and was sent off.

However, it took a Toby Alderweireld special to get us in front on 82 minutes before Harry Kane's penalty sealed the deal two minutes from time.

Spurs (first half): Lloris (c), Walker-Peters, Carter-Vickers, Vertonghen, Davies, Dembele, Dier, Eriksen, Onomah, Nkoudou, Janssen.

Spurs (second half): Vorm, Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Davies, Dembele (Winks 60), Wanyama, Oakley-Boothe, Eriksen, Dele, Kane.
