Team news | Danso back to face Frankfurt

Wed 16 April 2025, 19:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Kevin Danso has travelled to Germany and is available for our UEFA Europa League quarter-final, second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night (8pm UK).

The defender picked up a hamstring issue against Bournemouth in the Premier League on 9 March, forcing him out of the first leg of our Round of 16 clash against AZ Alkmaar and six games in total in a five-week stint on the sidelines.

He’s trained in the last few days and is now available for this huge tie against the Bundesliga side.

Speaking to Inside Spurs at Deutsche Bank Park this evening, Ange told us: “Kevin is back with us, and that’s important. He’s worked hard to get back. Both he and Deki (Kulusevski) had this game as a target, Deki certainly got himself ready, and Kevin has worked hard to be available, as well.”

Unfortunately, Ange also reported that skipper Heung-Min Son misses out with a foot injury.

“Team-wise, we’re all good apart from Sonny,” he added. “He didn’t travel. He’s been battling with a foot problem for quite a while, he was really struggling in training yesterday. So we made the decision to leave him behind and let him get over it. Everyone else is good.”
