Ange Postecoglou said Micky van de Ven felt a touch of cramp towards the end of Thursday night's clash at Chelsea but otherwise, it was a positive return to Premier League action for the centre-half.

Micky was back in the starting XI in the Premier League for the first time since facing the Blues at home back on 8 December - notably, the last time he'd started alongside Cuti Romero in a Premier League match before last night's encounter. Since then, he's started UEFA Europa League matches against Elfsborg and AZ Alkmaar.

The Dutch international completed 88 minutes at Stamford Bridge before a being replaced by Pedro Porro.

Speaking to the media at Hotspur Way on Friday morning, ahead of Sunday's Premier League match at home to Southampton (2pm UK), Ange reported: "Micky cramped up, obviously he hadn't played 90 minutes for a while, the positive thing is that he felt really good apart from the cramping up. It was a tough game defensively, we had to work hard."

Ange added that the rest of the squad came through unscathed. "Everyone else... nothing significant coming out of the game," he said.

Ange told us ahead of the Chelsea clash on Wednesday that Richarlison was back in full training and 'had a chance for the weekend'. Kevin Danso and Deki Kulusevski were expected back in a 'week or two'. Radu Dragusin remains out longer term.
