The opposition
Everton come into this one 16th in the table, occupying the final play-off spot, with only Leeds United able to catch them just a point behind.
The Toffees started their campaign by going unbeaten in August, beating Blackburn 3-1 on the opening day before beating Tranmere's first-team at Prenton Park in the Vertu Trophy and picking up a point against Chelsea.
They also picked up three points in the Merseyside Derby in October but failed to win any of their final five games in all competitions at the end of 2024.
They won just two of their opening six league games at the turn of the year, but come into this one having won two of their last four in PL2, albeit having lost 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller last time out against Norwich.
Paul Tait's side were knocked out of the Vertu Trophy finishing third in in Northern Group A - that victory against Tranmere providing their only points, and suffered the same fate in the Premier League Cup, this time earning six points but again finishing third and being eliminated in the group stage.
They didn't compete in the National League Cup, but have reached the final of the Liverpool FA Senior Cup, having beaten Warrington Rylands 4-1 at the start of April.
Of their 31 competitive fixtures so far this season, they've won 12, drawn seven and lost 12.
Ticket information
Ticket prices for this fixture are £5 for adults and £2 for Under-18s across the West Stand.
