Team news | Spurs vs Luton | Ange's van de Ven update

Fri 29 March 2024, 13:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Micky van de Ven has returned to training after his injury lay-off and will be available for selection when Luton make the trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Having been forced off just after half-time in our 4-0 win at Aston Villa earlier this month with a hamstring issue, Micky was expected to miss at least three weeks of action.

That saw him ruled out of our last Premier League game - our trip to Fulham just over two weeks ago - but, with the international break coinciding with the centre-half's recovery, it is likely that he will have only missed one of our fixtures as he has now returned to full training and will be an option for Ange when the Hatters visit N17 this weekend.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY as he previewed the visit of the Bedfordshire outfit, Ange said: "In terms of injuries. Micky has trained. he’s trained the last couple of days. He feels good so he will be available.

"Everyone (else) got through the internationals okay, which was important for us. Everyone came back and trained full today (Friday)."

Manor Solomon (knee), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Fraser Forster (foot) remain our long-term absentees.
