Ndombele notches first assist for Galatasaray in thumping win

Tanguy Ndombele provided his first assist for Galatasaray as they cruised to a 5-1 win over Trabzonspor on Sunday.

Having joined the Turkish champions on loan in September, the midfielder came off the bench for his 17th appearance for Galatasaray as they blew third-placed Trabzonspor away on their own turf.

Playing the final the 13 minutes at Papara Park, Trabzon, it took Tanguy just three minutes to make his mark, reacting quickest to a loose ball in midfield before releasing Dries Merten, who curled home an absolute pearler to add the Lions' fourth.

That saw them go level on points with leaders Fenerbahce (54) and 17 points clear of the chasing pack in the Super Lig.

Tanguy has now appeared in each of Galatasaray's last seven matches.
