Porro claims Club's Goal of the Month title for January

Pedro Porro has claimed our January Goal of the Month award for his stunning strike against Burnley in the FA Cup.

Blowing away all the competition by taking 84 per cent of the vote in a poll on our official website and app, Pedro claimed his maiden Goal of the Month award of the season thanks with his first goal of the campaign.

A goal of his own making, it was an absolute screamer and exactly what the third round tie with Burnley was crying out for. In a tough contest in north London in which we struggled to to really create any clear-cut chances, it took a moment of magic from the Spaniard to separate the sides as he unleash a looping rocket into the top right hand corner of the Clarets' net from 22 yards out having just stop a potential breakaway for the visitors.

To claim the title, Pedro's goal edged competition from both Rodrigo Bentancur - whose strike away at Manchester United, his first since his return from injury, came second - and Tyrese Hall - whose hit against Aston Villa came third.
