Perisic provides an update after surgery

Ivan Perisic has issued a positive update after he underwent surgery after suffering a complex anterior cruciate ligament injury.

It was announced last week that the Croatia international had suffered the injury in non-contact training and was to undergo surgery.

He has now undergone that surgery in Innsbruck, Austria, and will now commence a period of rehabilitation, however he is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Following the operation, Ivan posted an image of himself on crutches outside of the hospital, smiling while being supported by a pair of crutches.

Alongside the photograph, he thanked his doctor and his colleagues for their work and help, before providing an update on his condition.
