Ange Postecoglou was appointed as our new Men's First Team Head Coach this morning (Tuesday 6 June).

The Australian arrives after a successful two-year spell with Celtic, who he recently led to a domestic treble, making it five from a possible six domestic trophies claimed during his time in Glasgow.

Ange’s managerial career started at South Melbourne, leading his local side to consecutive National Soccer League titles and the Oceania Club Championship. From the turn of the millennium, he spent seven years coaching Australia’s Young Socceroos before managing A-League sides Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory. He then became Australia’s senior national team manager from 2013 to 2017, leading the Socceroos at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, winning the nation’s maiden AFC Asian Cup title in 2015 before securing 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification. In November, 2017, he moved to J1 League side Yokohama F. Marinos, where he guided them to their first title in 15 years in 2019, before his two seasons at Celtic Park where he won successive Premiership titles, two League Cups and a Scottish Cup.

Ange will join us on 1 July on a four-year deal and is the first Australian to manage in the Premier League.
