Aspiring footballers join the fun at Foundation's women and girls football festival

Our Foundation hosted a special festival of football tournament on Friday for women and girls from N17 and beyond.

Aspiring footballers from across the community came together to show off their skills under the watchful eyes of the Foundation’s coaches, who were on hand to offer advice and words of encouragement.

Today’s tournament marked the end of a fortnight of Easter activity in N17, with a range of free multi-sport sessions on offer for those looking to stay active, get fit and play football during the school holidays.

At the end of the session, participants were treated to tickets to watch us take on Aston Villa in the Women’s Super League at Brisbane Road next weekend.

Speaking after the tournament, one participant said: “I had a fantastic time today. The festival was great fun, and all of the coaches were really helpful. Getting tickets to next week’s match was amazing and I can’t wait to see the women’s team in action!"
