Spurs Women spread festive cheer at local hospitals

Tue 20 December 2022, 18:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Four Spurs Women players visited local hospitals on Tuesday to deliver Christmas gifts to children’s wards.

Chioma Ubogagu and Kerys Harrop visited Whipps Cross Hospital, the closest hospital to Brisbane Road Stadium, while Molly Bartrip and Eveliina Summanen headed to Whittington Hospital.

Players also delivered special gifts from Official Club partner Molton Brown to all hospital staff.

Speaking from Whittington, Molly told us: “I think you don’t realise that you can make a child’s day just by one small gesture, so it was really nice and kind of overwhelming. I felt a bit emotional giving them gifts. It makes you look at life in a different way and I’m just hopeful that they can have a lovely Christmas. It’s about spreading love at this time of year.”

Christine Fogarty, Associated Director of Nursing for Children at Whipps Cross Hospital, said: “It was great to have Kerys and Chioma on the ward bringing so much festive joy and cheer to our young patients, particularly at this time of the year.

“This meant a lot to them and put a big smile on their faces, and it also gave our staff a real boost.”

Last week, the Club’s men’s team also visited local hospitals, which you can read more about here.
